Step-by-Step Replacement

1. Locate the small notch on the edge of the key fob (usually near the key ring)
2. Gently pry open the casing using a small flat-head screwdriver or a coin
3. Note the circuit board and rubber seal — keep them intact
4. Note the positive/negative orientation of the old battery
5. Insert the new battery in the same orientation
6. Snap the casing shut and test the remote

Important Notes

• Avoid touching the battery surface with bare fingers — oils can affect contact
• If the remote still doesn't work after replacing, it may need re-pairing (see your car manual)
• Dispose of old batteries at a battery recycling point — don't throw in general waste
